Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-04
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Kindryn (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Kindryn is a self-hosted community platform that lets creators run paid communities, courses, events, and coaching. Features include member spaces, content publishing, payment processing, video calls, calendar integrations, and similar tools.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for any activity under your account. Notify the operator immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Upload viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the Service.
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
- Send spam, unsolicited promotions, or bulk messages.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by law.
- Use the Service to compete with the operator.
In addition, the following content categories are strictly prohibited on the Service and may not be created, distributed, sold, or monetized through any feature of Kindryn (including paid memberships, courses, coaching, events, downloads, tips, or any other monetization surface):
- Adult content and services. Content that contains nudity, sexually explicit acts, or simulated sexual conduct, including but not limited to subscriber-only nude images, adult-oriented audio or video, live adult chat, escort services, or any other content of a sexual nature intended for adult audiences.
- Intellectual property or proprietary rights infringement. Content that infringes any third party’s copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, right of publicity, or other intellectual property or proprietary right. This includes (without limitation) unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material such as leaked music albums, films, software, books, or course materials you do not own or license; the use of trademarks or logos you are not authorized to use; and content that bypasses technical protection measures.
- Violent extremism and hate speech. Content that engages in, encourages, promotes, or celebrates unlawful violence or hate speech toward any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, immigration status, age, or any other immutable or protected characteristic. This includes terrorist content, violent extremist recruitment, and content that glorifies acts of mass violence.
These prohibitions apply regardless of context, framing, or audience. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, removal of the offending content, forfeiture of pending payouts, and referral to law enforcement or rights holders as required by law. The operator reserves the right to determine, in its sole reasonable judgment, whether content falls within these categories.
For the full Acceptable Use Policy, see Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content you grant the operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and display), and display the content as needed to provide the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant the license above and that your content does not violate these Terms.
6. Payments and Subscriptions
Some features require payment. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or as explicitly stated. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You can cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). The operator does not store full payment-card data on its servers.
7. Termination
The operator may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, or other reasonable grounds. You may terminate your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, limitation of liability) shall survive.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The operator does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law.
13. Contact
For questions about these Terms, contact the operator of this Kindryn instance through the contact channel posted on the homepage or in your account settings.
