How do I move my existing community to Kindryn?+
We migrate from Circle, Kajabi, Skool, Mighty, and most other community platforms. Member roster imports run $1,500–$3,000. Full content migration — courses, posts, events, recordings — runs $5,000–$25,000 depending on what you're bringing over. Every migration starts with a free 30-minute scoping call so you get a fixed quote before any work begins.
What's the difference between Cloud and Kiln?+
Cloud runs on shared infrastructure — fast to start, flat fee, every feature unlocked. Kiln gives you a single-tenant instance with your branding and a custom kindryn.app subdomain. Move to Kiln when you need isolation for compliance, scale headroom beyond shared limits, or your branding on the member experience.
When do I need a white-labeled mobile app?+
Forge and up — your app on the iOS App Store and Google Play under your name, with your icon and brand. We publish and maintain it. Cloud and Kiln members use the Kindryn mobile app, which works great if your community doesn't need to read as fully your own product.
What's included in the setup fee?+
A discovery call to understand your business, your instance provisioned and configured, branded rollout, admin training, migration assistance if you have an existing community, and a handoff to a live and working platform. You're buying a launched product, not a login.
Can I switch tiers later?+
Yes, in both directions. Move up when you outgrow your tier — we handle the migration. Move down if your needs change. Setup fees on Deployed tiers are one-time; if you upgrade from Kiln to Forge later, you pay the difference, not the full Forge setup again.
How does payment work for my members?+
Your members pay you directly through Stripe Connect — Kindryn never touches the money. Your payouts hit your bank on your schedule. Available on Cloud and every tier above.
I run a network business with referral compensation. Which tier?+
Foundry if you want us to run it ($10,000/mo managed). Sovereign if you want to run it yourself ($150,000 one-time perpetual source license, self-hosted). Both include the full network commission engine — multi-tier commissions and downline tracking. Cloud and Kiln include single-tier affiliate commissions (one referrer, one commission), which is enough for most coaching businesses but not for distributor networks.
What is Coach AI and how is it priced?+
Coach AI is our coach assistant for members and admins. It pulls context from member profiles, goals, recent activity, course progress, and your community content — so the AI actually knows the people it is talking to. Two orthogonal layers: Coach AI (Kindryn-managed brain, our model contract + prompt engineering + guardrails) and Coach AI BYO Model (point at your own OpenAI / Anthropic / Azure key). On Cloud both are paid add-ons (+$299/mo and +$199/mo). Kiln includes the managed brain, BYO is +$199/mo. Forge and Foundry include both. For reference, Cloud with both Coach AI layers enabled lands at $1,097/mo — below the per-seat cost of a single licensed coaching-AI seat on most enterprise platforms.
What about data privacy and security?+
Cloud and Starter run on shared infrastructure with row-level tenancy. Kiln, Forge, and Foundry are isolated single-tenant instances — your data alone in a box. Sovereign lets you self-host on your own infrastructure for full data sovereignty (HIPAA, FERPA, GDPR data-residency, government workloads). All tiers use Stripe Connect, so payment data never sits in our database.
